Wow Clary! Totally hip, cool urban feel to these adds a lovely new flair to your light and airy photography! I am in love with the photo (in row 9 i think?) of the bride looking down and smiling big with the city bokeh-twinkle lights around her face. So warm and lovely!

Meeting Alyse at Bridget and Brendan's wedding she is this wonderful mixed of spunk and beauty. When Stephanie told me Alyse was engaged to this great British Guy and preceded to ask if I reminder her, how could I not? Alyse is like a porcelain doll, so beautiful and amazing eyes. I was quite excited when Alyse decided to have me photographer her wedding day. Curiosity was another thought, who is this fiance with a british accent with a tall order of kindness given by Stephanie. For their engagement session all curiosity was answered, Paul is a gentleman and then he talks like Colin Firth. I'm smitten.
Thanks you Paul and Alyse for having Travis and I photograph your wedding day. Seeing all your family and friends pour over you with love. The joy you two exhibit to everyone and especially one another is what makes our job awesome. Thank you thank you!!.

Then I dropped my favorite lens on the concrete. Switched to my backup and photographed Adam and Megan seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day.
I'm not saying all this so you think "that happened to me!! heart. break." or "I hope that never happens to me" (ps-it will, get insurance) or to comfort brides and grooms with knowing their photographer carries back-up equipment?
None of the above.
After the first moment Adam and Megan saw each other I switched back to my favorite lens to assess the damage.
All the outside images taken after the gorgeous bridal party is with that lens. I'm naming in the "A&Mlens". Lovingly.
The change is very slight, enough to make me love it but not enough to make me send it to CPS. The colors are perfect, the yellows softened, and the flair is this really pretty rainbow of colors. Seen in the first image on the right of Adam and Megan's blog post. So I'm keeping it the way it is. Kind of like Paganini tearing apart the strings on his violin to have a sound like none other. This particular violin he named "Cannon". What can I say, I love obscure analogies.
Now on to the images...

Ouch! Did you drop the 35 or the 50? Funny that dropping it made it even cooler :) These are gorgeous! Loving the ring shots!
(11.10.10 @ 02:49 PM)I agree.....love the little "rainbow" the "new" lens is adding to your images :) And WOW to that Church...breath taking.
(11.10.10 @ 03:39 PM)Thanks Lisa! Beth-It was my 50 1.2...how did you know my favorites?:)
(11.10.10 @ 04:08 PM)I shoot Nikon but dropped my 50 1.4 a few months ago. There was a big crack on the back lens but the pictures were still tack sharp...go figure! I ended up replacing just in case! The images are amazing...just beautiful!
(11.10.10 @ 06:26 PM)Wow! The details are breathtaking- those shoes are gorgeous! I love the story about the lens. I would be so sad if my 50 ever broke at a wedding- that's why I carry the non L version, but oh how beautiful the images turned out even after it broke! I love all the colors!!! If you ever need another shooter in the Indy area I would love to :)
(11.10.10 @ 06:29 PM)CLARY. Stunning images, I absolutely love your work sister - consistently beautiful and flawless. I will never tire of looking at your photos! Can't wait to see you Sunday. xoxo
