(10.05.09 @ 01:07 PM)I already knew that you guys made an adorable family, but this picture really captures it perfectly. I love this picture, and I can't wait to look at the rest of them - Bobbi and Mike did a great job!!!
(10.05.09 @ 02:28 PM)Is it weird if I want some canvases (canvasi) of this sesh? It is? Hmmm.
Either way...your family is gorgeous and I love that the love seeps out of every crevice of every picture. :)
(10.05.09 @ 02:43 PM)I think I love these even more than the ones from last year b/c they are at your home! Maybe you should post your chocolate chip cookie recipe...for Bobbi of course!!
(10.05.09 @ 04:35 PM)Clary, these photos are simply perfection. Your family is so adorable, and we can see the love and laughter in every photo. Beautiful!
(10.05.09 @ 05:40 PM)Oh, these photos are fantastic (and I already commented to Bobbi about them). They caught you, Travis and the kids in such true form. It's beautiful!

God bless you all!
I love all of your pictures, and I especially love that they were at home. My faves are def. a tie between the black in white smooch-a-roo and the one with Jettie in the air with Travy Trav and you laying with Hughes. Simply Beautiful! (10.06.09 @ 04:00 AM)love it!!!
(10.06.09 @ 08:04 AM)These photos put to rest my thoughts that the Pfeiffer family bakes cookies together in the evenings and takes walks in a meadow. Your family is so lovely...looking at the photos I couldn't help but feel so happy for you to have such a beautiful family. (OH and I had a weird dream the other night that I ran into you at Target and you told me you were pregnant. No worries though because I have those dreams about a lot of people and it's never true)

(10.12.09 @ 01:48 AM)I loved this image so much that even when I was on VACATION, I went to their blogsite to check out the pics. Just fabulous. You have such a fashionable, adorable, and sweet family! The warmth just shines through in the pictures. Love it!
(10.13.09 @ 12:48 PM)You guys look so happy together ! Bobbi and Mike did a great job capture your lives together !
(11.01.09 @ 03:31 AM)You know those moments that are life changing? When the next day is different than the day before and the world is turned upside down or maybe even spins the other way?
My top 5...
The day I met my best friend, I was four. She was selling girl scout cookies and I got mad because I was a daisy and trying to sell enough to win the top girl scout cookie seller. She lived on my block.
My forth grade teacher who seriously believed in me, even when I couldn't spell state capitols and didn't pay attention in history.
Going to a high school basketball game where Travis sat next to me. He snuck in my favorite candy, Skittles and said my hair smelt pretty. Don't worry, it takes more than this but that was the official start to my world spinning the other way.
First photography critique in college by my favorite professor, now and forever. I photographed a soccer ball with flash. He told me if I ever used flash on another photography project I would fail Photography 101. In fear of not only going to school for a degree my mom thought would take me nowhere, I didn't want to get an F in my first class so I buckled down and didn't pick up a flash for 3 years.
Seeing Jessica Claire's work in 2004, my world turned upside down. I was planning my own wedding and a past bride of Jessica was showing off her pictures, understandably. My jaw dropped, I was changed. 'You mean a young female can be a wedding photographer??!'. Yes, I know today this is not a novel idea but 6 years ago it was. Without this small window into what could be, I wonder how long it would have taken me to realize I could have the best job photographing people in love.
So as destiny would have it the same time I was in California to shoot a wedding, Jessica Claire had a workshop that without question I had to attend. It was an awesome first workshop experience giving me new insight and confirming what I've been doing but the best was the mock wedding set up by the people below. You must check out their work because it is amazing! I'm so excited to show Midwest brides something different and beautiful that is completely obtainable. I loved every square inch, ENJOY!
Some new friends work you can check out from the workshop and my STL photog friends work to see more!!
Oh wow!! This is absolutely stunning and gorgeous!!! Classy, elegant and subtle!!! I love it!!! :)
(10.05.09 @ 08:59 AM)WOW-Great site-I love the pictures-thanks for brightening my day!!!Francis http://www.geothermalquestions.net
(10.05.09 @ 12:14 PM)First of all, I'm going to work on getting over the fact that you didn't tell me you were going to this workshop. Second, I cannot wait to hear all about your Cali experience (including the bikes!). Third, these are stunning. Absolutely amazing - so proud of you! Fourth, I think the remarkable thing about life-changing moments is that we never realize it at the time. ...But that's what makes it all the more amazing, right?
(10.05.09 @ 02:45 PM)Ahh!! I had no idea you had gone to this workshop until you blogged about it last week. These pictures are stunning, and I'm sure you have more up your sleeve!
(10.05.09 @ 05:49 PM)Wow finally....and totally worth it too...Love the pictures, and the write up rocks...it was so nice meeting you at the workshop. will definitely keep in touch...
(10.05.09 @ 06:26 PM)i can't believe i didn't i see this post before :S it looks like you had a lot of fun.. plus some really gorgeous images!!

I would have to say that meeting definately changed my life, for the better, in so many ways. I'm getting teary eyed with this blog and your Bobbi+Mike phot session. My heart is filled with warm gooey-ness for you right now =). I luvs You!
(10.06.09 @ 04:05 AM)Stunning! I love all of them...but my personal fav is the image of Jeff...you captured him perfectly....ahhh, love them! xoxo
(10.06.09 @ 02:23 PM)Thanks everyone!
Gina-Jeff one handsome guy and you two as a couple picture perfect. I'm so happy you two had this opportunity, I would photo you two any day!!
(10.06.09 @ 02:48 PM)This is a great post Clary. It sounds like life is perfection for ya :)
(10.06.09 @ 04:38 PM)You'll be knocking the socks off the midwest brides with these! Gorgeous!
(10.10.09 @ 08:07 AM)Our family craves turquoise waves and salt in our hair for a substitute of the waving fields of golden wheat and crop dust of the Midwest. Just like last year we stayed on the most beautiful island in Florida, Santa Rosa...
racing on the beach,

making sandcastles that looked like seashells,

taking pictures with The Polaroid,

watching rainbows,
exhausting Frisbee tournaments,

turning the pool into a trapeze,

playing in the sea of turquoise,
shopping for the best seafood.

Enjoy some last bits of sea AND thank you Nicki and Kelly for sharing your morning with me talking shop!!
Awesome pics Clary! Looks like it was a fun family vacation =)

(08.28.09 @ 09:04 AM)love your photos! they never look like snapshots. this is why i love photography. i love helping capture memories for others but my ultimate goal was to be able to take shots of my family like this someday.
(08.28.09 @ 10:31 AM)OMG Clary...I can't believe how big Jettie is!!! It seems like yesterday I was shooting with you while you were prego with her!!!
(08.29.09 @ 06:12 PM)Wow! I love the pic of Jettie she is really bookin it. =) And the one where she is wearing your sunglasses. Hughes with the dripping wet face and the shaking the sand out of his hair just make my heart melt. The colors and lighting are fantastic.

(08.31.09 @ 08:53 AM)Your pictures are so wonderful!!! Jettie Pie racing, Hughes in his hat, all so very good!!! You know that I would love/need to have some copies (please)! I feel like I am still standing on the beach watching 2 of the cutest kids, and yet on the other hand, I wish we were still there. Thanks again for including us, it was a great time!

(08.07.09 @ 07:48 AM)That is one happy couple -- you can tell by their big smiles in pretty much every pic!! LOVE her dress!
And getting to travel to CA to shoot a wedding??? Must be one of the many perks of being "Cool Clary!!"
(08.07.09 @ 08:38 AM)Wow, Clary, these are simply amazing. LOVE them!
(08.07.09 @ 02:35 PM)These are beautiful photos and they capture the love that the couple shares for eachother. Very beautiful!
(08.08.09 @ 07:58 AM)BEAUTIFUL! PS That Sam Cooke song was our (me & Alex) first dance song at our wedding. LOVE it.
(08.10.09 @ 09:38 AM)These are gorgeous. I love the way the sun gives them a nostalgic essence. Plus, their smiles could brighten up any day. Great job!
(08.10.09 @ 12:24 PM)My favorite one is the very first one love it!! What a beautiful place to take wedding photos, GREAT JOB!!!
(08.11.09 @ 07:50 AM)I was in California in July, and I don't believe there is a better place to shoot a wedding. You just proved it with this post!
(08.13.09 @ 09:59 PM)Loveliness : )
I love the way the trees are in the first b&w picture! Great angle.

Is it crazy that I so remember that gold fringe dress and spirit day?!?! Love the new business cards!!
(08.04.09 @ 04:17 PM)Not crazy at all, spirit day ROCKED!! and thanks for still befriending me even though you remember that dress:)
(08.04.09 @ 04:26 PM)Clary....I've found that the coolest people I've ever known have no idea they are cool! You are soooooo cool!
(08.04.09 @ 08:26 PM)Don't make me whip out my 4th-8th grade photos in a contest of who was more awkward, because I will for certain give you a run for your money. Two words... Egyptian Day.
Loving all your new marketing pieces! You are in fact so cool!
...and this is why I love you. And this is my favorite post of yours. Ever. Even more than the pictures you took of me. Because you are that cool. And I'm so happy you have someone in your life that reminds you :)
Oh, and when do I get one of the fab new cards?!?
xx
(08.04.09 @ 10:16 PM)Conversation with Dionna a few months ago....
me - "Ever wanna be friends with somebody but you know you are just not cool enough for them?"
Dionna - "Yup, that's happened to me before."
me - "Well, that's how I feel with Clary."
Clary, First things first...you ARE cool....no question about it. And in regards to you & Travis, I love reading about your relationship, and hope some day to find a relationship that is as supportive and loving as yours with Travis!
I didn't know Clary when she wore the gold dress; so I can't offer any experience as to her coolness. I can say that it amazes me how much cooler and more beautiful she has become every year since 1997. I'm having trouble keeping up :)
(08.04.09 @ 11:36 PM)Um, you are probably one of the coolest people I've ever met in my life. I'm intimidated by your coolness, actually.
By the way - Travis, you're pretty cool yourself. :) Your kids are so lucky to have such an awesome set of parents!
(08.05.09 @ 09:14 AM)That must be a common slip for junior high! I remember 5th grade science class when a class mate meant to say octopus tentacles and instead said testacles. This also was around the time when we had our first sex ed classes at school. Easy mistake if you ask me! LOL
(08.05.09 @ 10:00 AM)Happy, happy post. Love it...and I am in love with the amazing gold fringe dress. I mean, really...how much more fun can a dress get? Also, just to reiterate what everyone else says, I think you're about as cool as they can get. And if you insist on feeling "uncool," I generally like to describe myself as "tragically unhip", which sounds way more desperate than "uncool." Long live cool!
(08.05.09 @ 11:37 AM)Just looking at that pic. of you... it's so obvious you were going to grow up to be uber cool. Travis obviously saw the potential. He totally knew what he had on his hands. Good for him for snatching you up before all the cool kids realized what they were missing. ;)

(08.05.09 @ 12:22 PM)Clary, I think everyone thinks your cool. I mean my bridemaids are already talking about getting to meet you at the wedding! Love the new cards and I can't wait to get to hang with you soon! I
(08.05.09 @ 05:26 PM)Love the story, and awesome business cards!
(08.05.09 @ 06:29 PM)Go Leclaire Mustangs (they were the mustangs at the time weren't they?) Anyway I've always thought you were cool, and I even experienced that gold dress first hand, dancing around with you in your back yard with the fringe swirling. ;) Loveyou!
(08.06.09 @ 11:02 AM)I agree with Daysha- the coolest of cool usually have no idea how cool they really are- which is what makes them cool- (can you see, I'm trying to see how many times I can use the 'cool' word!)
The cards are fab, Clary- Firecracker rocks it out!
you have such an amazing gift...such a sweetheart and genuine person. I love that you can put it all out on the table and own your feelings, but unfortunately Clary, you are cool. seriously cool. hate to break it to you. xoxo!
(08.07.09 @ 01:53 AM)PHENOMENAL BIZ CARDS!!!!!!! I love the photo of you with all that hair :) I miss you. And, for the record... I think you're the cooooooolest. :)
(08.07.09 @ 09:45 AM)you know I think you're super cool and want to hang out and learn all kinds of stuff from you!
LOVE letterpress anything, and these cards are soo beautiful!
What makes you so cool is that you just embrace who you are!
PS- Nice paper products just make a girl smile, and those are no exception. Great choice.
Yep, I think I am going to have to compete with the dorkiness. I have some lovely pictures - bowl haircut, buck teeth, dangly 80's earrings. Oh, the glam of it all. Great post and anyone who reads this can tell how in love you and Travis are. May God bless the two of you with a lifetime of happiness.
(08.10.09 @ 12:29 PM)i can't believe i missed this post....! you are probably the coolest person i know and i LOVE your new cards. such class. such style.
(10.14.09 @ 01:07 PM)
I'm not going to lie - even though I love your weddings and your sessions - these posts are my favorite. I too enjoy farmers markets and duh- yummy meals! Pioneer Woman would be proud! Thanks for doing posts like these! They always make me smile!
(07.20.09 @ 11:11 PM)Wow looks delicious and you know how I feel about seafood.. The family picks make my heart melt!
(07.21.09 @ 12:26 AM)Yum!!!!! You know how I love food, and how I love CSAs...yours looks fabulous! I must try this recipe...we have lots of zucchini. I finally broke down and made zucchini bread, but I made a chai-spice zucchini bread and a chocolate wave zucchini bread to mix things up.
I love that your CSA labels the veggies and gives quick instructions on them (kohlrabi--bulb tastes like broccoli, leaves like kale), as we get ours in a bag, and sometimes we have to play "which green is this?" game with our bounty for the week.
(07.21.09 @ 08:21 AM)i love so many things about this post, i don't even know where to start! if i were you, i'd display some of those in my kitchen.
anytime you ever swing thru kirkwood, feel free to cook for me. i'll even get starbucks for you. ;)
also- one huge reason why i was so interested in photography when i was younger was so that i could have beautiful pictures of my (someday) family like that. my aunt took beautiful pictures just like yours and even as an 11 yr old, i knew i wanted to learn how to do it. your post makes me all fuzzy and nostalgic. thanks!
(07.21.09 @ 09:32 AM)everything looks so yummy!! i feel like cooking now!
you did a great job: on the photos and on the cooking as well ;)
Clary!!!! I 2nd Karin - you would do Ree proud!!! Love it! I am so trying this recipe too! It looks yummy. Plus, your kiddos are so cute :) Great post!
(07.21.09 @ 11:07 AM)oh my goodness - your little jettie is just adorable :) sweet pics of your kiddos, and awesome produce shots. we live in soulard, so you know the market is a big part of our lives!
(07.21.09 @ 11:49 AM)Thanks Karin!! That means so much coming from you:)
Mel Mac-I love you, even thought you don't like seafood.
Jennie!! I'm emailing you about the chai-spice zucchini bread, that sounds divine! and make sure the check out Lily's link.
Pamela-that is exactly why I start and encourage every client to do this because it is the everyday that is beautiful.
Paula! Make it, you'll thank me later.
Thanks Amanda and Nicky!
Oh!! ps-nicky, I'm jealous...think of me next time you're there:)
(07.21.09 @ 12:07 PM)Beautiful images!!!
What a cute family you guys are!
Loved the food pictures. They look delicious!
:)
I definitely e-mailed your CSA after reading about it a while back. I searched a million others, but found that yours was perfect....now if only they will add us to their list next season!!
(07.21.09 @ 09:00 PM)Oh yeah, forgot to mention I am OBSESSED with Elsah, my husband and I used to take a trip out to Grafton once a month and would always drive through the picturesque streets (well, like 3 streets) in Elsah. It looks like it should be in Better Homes and Gardens or something :)
(07.22.09 @ 11:33 AM)wow. just wow. simply an amazing post! I love your hair in the semi-profile shot of you...and Hughes and Jettie are so adorable! What great family moments. AND it is 6 am and I want shrimp...
(07.23.09 @ 06:26 AM)Oh, everything looks so delicious! Gorgeous photos, and Hughes and Jettie look so cute!
(07.23.09 @ 07:22 AM)Love the pics, Hughes and Jettie are so adorable.
(07.23.09 @ 08:21 AM)First of all let me say, that is some of the grossest food I have ever seen in my life, I don't think I've ever eaten a "beet" or "raddish" and I have no clue what "bok choy" is....but my GOD your kids are cute!!!! Come to my house some night for dinner....cheesey hot dogs with a side of pringles chips - whoo hooo!
Love ya!
Kelly Manno
Ok maybe you should start a food blog too, because this looks and sounds delicious! Oh and I need the recipe for the chai-spice zucchini bread too!! YUM!! I think markets are my favorite places during the summer and fall. People are great and the produce always looks so amazing!!! FYI Clary...you're kids are too cute, just adorable!!!
(07.24.09 @ 08:20 AM)Kelly! Cheese dogs are my favorite!!! Have you ever wrapped them in crescent rolls and baked them. Serious yum!
Polly-the recipe for the chi-zucchini bread is in your inbox and anyone else who wants it, just let me know:) Thanks again Jennie!

(06.22.09 @ 02:44 PM)I love her dress and the nostalicness (is that a word?) to this photos! I absolutely love them. They are going to be super thrilled with these!
(06.22.09 @ 05:02 PM)you're right- the photos in the field are absolutely GORGEOUS!
(06.22.09 @ 05:17 PM)These are lovely!
That field of yellow flowers makes my heart melt!
Thank you so much. Some of these are so us, it's amazing how well our personalities come through. We had so much fun doing these and spending the afternoon with you. Rich just groaned at my rainboot picture but I love it just as much as my other shoe pictures (the blue ones and the black ones, the purple ones and the red ones, well all of them) cheers!
(06.22.09 @ 09:06 PM)Love Love Love the wildflowers! All of these are amazing, almost as amazing as you ;)
(06.23.09 @ 12:01 AM)So romantic!
(06.23.09 @ 09:21 AM)What a beautiful couple and beautiful photos. I love the contrast between the softness of the fields and the hard lines of the structural componenets! Wonderful work Clary!
(06.23.09 @ 09:58 AM)You're like a fairy godmother...only with a camera :)
I love every single one!!
(06.24.09 @ 12:07 AM)Wow! The field pictures are so gorgeous! I love the dress for this second shoot! I am dying to know more about it! Of course I also love the black and white ribbon on the bouquet!!!!

(06.24.09 @ 12:13 PM)Day after session?? I wish I had known people do these!! Can you do a 3 years later session in a wedding dress cause I want photos like these!! Fabulous!!!!
(06.24.09 @ 12:15 PM)
Click here to see a more pictures online or you can check out the magazine on newsstands now:)

But wait, it gets better! The amazing cake on the left, from Scott and Vanessa's wedding, is featured in the Q&A wedding cake section and the beautiful couple on the right, Matt and Jodie (that picture still makes my heart pitter-patter and ps-they did all their portraits without seeing each other), are in a "don't miss photo op" feature of yours truly. Now the best part, the first commenter to find or guess the page number with Matt and Jodie along with the photo op advice, receives a treat from The Cupcakery* (*small disclaimer, winner must live in the STL area).
Clary! That is so amazing! You go girl! I am soooo buying that magazine when it come out. I bet you are so excited. That is definitely an accomplishment to be proud of :)
(06.19.09 @ 12:38 AM)Clary - I think we would all agree that you are SO much more than a 'small' part of a couple's wedding day!! You capture moments and memories that are cherished for a lifetime...and not only do you capture them, but you do so in such an incredibly artistic, expressive, & emotional way! Congrats to you, and your amazing talent!
(06.19.09 @ 01:19 AM)Clary, Congrats that is incredible that you are featured in the publication not once but three times. I completely agree that you are way more than a small part of the wedding day. When you spend all day with someone and are there to make sure the memories last you are a very important part of the day.
(06.19.09 @ 04:14 AM)Congrats! So exciting to have your work in a wedding magazine. And now you've got me thiking about the Cupcakery. Mmmmmmmm...however, I have no good guess on page numbers. Happy Friday!
(06.19.09 @ 08:22 AM)congrats!! my guess is page 77 :)
(06.19.09 @ 08:27 AM)I'm going to guess 27 :) Just a guess. Also, YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAY for you! So proud - you deserve it!

(06.19.09 @ 09:26 AM)Clary I am so so Proud of you. Congratulations on making it into the knot again! =)
(06.19.09 @ 11:07 AM)You don't take a photograph, you make it. ~Ansel Adams
Clary, you truly are a blessing to everyone you crosses your path. Much love!
That is a beautifully shot wedding! I stumbled across your blog, and love your work. Can i ask, did the knot approach you before the wedding, or once it had been shot to feature... just curious!!
(06.19.09 @ 01:56 PM)Gorgeous! You are such a fabulous photographer, and such a fun person.
Page 86?
You all are the best!! and truly make my day.
You also know me too well with all the 2 and 7 guesses. Sadly the page number is not 2, 22, 27 or 77 BUT the article is titled "7 must photo-ops". No joke!
(06.19.09 @ 02:52 PM)That is awesome Clary!! I have to say, I'm not surprised and it is well deserved :)
(06.19.09 @ 03:42 PM)Yes, I went out and bought the issue. But I have an excuse...I have a wedding to plan! It is on page 28!
(06.19.09 @ 09:03 PM)Congrats Clary!! It is well deserved!!
(06.22.09 @ 08:20 AM)Good Job BRIT!! Email on its way:)

I need photos of myself and my husband/business partner for our website. Romantic? I get to capture other people's romantic/love filled/hopeful days with the person I love more than anything in this world. I'd say that's pretty romantic. It wouldn't matter where or when - just capturing our every day - normal/dorky selves is my idea of romantic.
(10.11.09 @ 11:26 PM)OK - My dorkyness really just showed because I didn't see the 27 words or less, so the end part is my idea... me and my husband no matter where or when just being our normal/dorky selves. That's my idea of romantic. And the date the winner is announced will be our 5 year wedding anniversary. What an awesome present that would be. No pressure.
(10.11.09 @ 11:39 PM)And pee ess ess - LOVE the film pics. The are dreamy. And I'm wondering what apple farm that is.
I absolutely love using film! I think the idea of incorporating digital and film is a great concept.
I love the idea of shooting in the home for a newly married couple. It captures the "newness" and the idea of them creating a "home" together.
(10.12.09 @ 12:04 AM)P.S. The pictures of the kids are fantastic :)
(10.12.09 @ 12:05 AM)Karin - you crack me up and you are not a dork!
Clary, I am a hopeless romantic and find this challenge hard :) I would love a romantic session of Brett and I having an old fashioned date eating outside in the middle of nowhere with candles and then going for ice cream later. That is us :) But I would want to look glamorous while soaking in the night. Like 40's glam. Thanks :)
(10.12.09 @ 06:04 AM)I'd love to have our engagement pictures shot somewhere warm and cozy feeling. The romantic winter pictures would be nice to contrast our future summer wedding pictures.
(10.12.09 @ 08:28 AM)My parents celebrating 27 years together cozied up to a warm fire with mugs of hot cocoa in their flannel pjs/robes or winter gear.
(10.12.09 @ 09:02 AM)clary, i LOOOVE these! (i also love your boots ;)so, can i play too? hehe
(10.12.09 @ 09:11 AM)ok, my idea of a romantic session: my husband and i, in chicago, walking around the lincoln park area, maybe having some hot chocolate + a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake (our favorite!) the end :)
Whether it's film or digital you always take the most amazing photos! I think a romantic shoot would be to photograph a couple spending a night out from afar. Capturing the moments where they are just being themselves. The touches, the smiles, the kisses in romantic settings like their favorite resturant, taking a walk or carriage ride in the park, or even their home watching their favorite movies, cuddled up in a blanket drinking hot coco. I know I used more than 27 words but I've never been good a summerizing. :)

(10.12.09 @ 09:19 AM)Clary, these pictures are gorgeous, you really capture people's personalities!
(10.12.09 @ 10:19 AM)Also, I want to participate in the contest :)
My idea of a romantic evening is cooking a meal with Dave & enjoying our great feast together in the end (along with a nice bottle of wine).
The film shoot is very romantic. I feel like maybe it looks "soft" too. I love it!
(10.12.09 @ 10:23 AM)In February, I will be 7 months pregnant with our second child : )
Thats a 2 and a 7...
Cool fall afternoon circa 2002...us= poor college kids: grabbed snacks, radio, warm blanket & each other. Quiet romantic corner in park w/changing leaves watching big clouds roll by …perfect & beautiful.
(10.12.09 @ 10:34 AM)I can do better than my last entry:
(10.12.09 @ 10:36 AM)Me. Fiance. Fireplace or firepit. February. Engaged 7 months. Wine or hot chocolate. Snuggling. Laughing. Dancing. In love. Soft. Romantic. Playful. Memorable. Glowing. Smiling. Holding hands. Perfection!
Fell hard and fast, whirlwind engagement, five years married, four children...still in love Date night in the city, lights, the contrast of gritty urban with soft romance…
(10.12.09 @ 10:50 AM)i also wanted to add that the images from this session are gorgeous...i have looked at them several times + just love them.
(10.12.09 @ 10:52 AM)12 years of romance and 3 little girls later, we still can't get enough of each other. We would love you to capture the peacefulness of "us".
(10.12.09 @ 11:54 AM)I love these photos! I'd definitely say they are romantic. I love this challenge and here is my entry :)
(10.12.09 @ 12:02 PM)My husband and I reliving our first date (five years ago this May). Bowling and rootbeer floats on an early spring evening. Relaxed and fun=romantic, right?
Well...my husband and I are welcoming our first child into the world this January and I think that's pretty romantic. Or at least maternity or newborn photos of it would be :). We're a fun, madly in love couple who can't wait to meet our biggest blessing - little Olivia Marie. Oh, and we live in St. Charles.
(10.12.09 @ 02:04 PM)LOVE this!! Your kids are just so cute, what an adorable foursome you all are! Would love to have a film session! I'll get back to you with my entry :)
(10.12.09 @ 05:10 PM)TWO big "kids", dressed to the nines. Drunk on love, embarrassingly goofy around lots of young students, where we met. Just US, celebrating SEVEN years.
(10.12.09 @ 05:22 PM)oh geez! what a challenge.... hmm....
an ice skating session at steinberg! (even though i can't ice skate AT ALL) i think it would be so romantic. cocoa and kisses included.
(10.12.09 @ 07:50 PM)Idea: 1/27/09, our 7 month wedding anniversary. Sitting in the bed of Beau's 1970 truck that we took to HS dances. Cozying up, looking at stars. The end. But.... to add another number, our 3rd session with the fab Clary :) Beautiful pics and family Clary, you're so talented, so blessed.
(10.12.09 @ 08:20 PM)I love every one of these images! Your family is so fun and I just love when we get a glimpse into the life of Clary and company!
Here's my entry for the contest:
(10.12.09 @ 08:27 PM)The moment my daughter was born, I became a mother. In January she will become a sister, a moment that will make my heart swell with love.
These are just fantastic! I love the "feel" film oozes out! I love seeing photos of your family because they always make my heart smile :)
You are really willing to travel to Chicago for this session? Chicago holds a very dear place in my heart, it's where Danny and I decided to start our lives together during a very cold winter eight years ago. We are now enjoying our 7th year of marriage. How dreamy would a winter session is Chicago be! Here is my submission :)
The twinkling lights streamed down Michigan Ave, enjoying German treats at the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza, and I can't forget the yummy, warm pizza! Perfect winter day!
(sorry for the book)
(10.12.09 @ 10:20 PM)I love all of these pictures and it always makes my heart melt to see you guys. Travis' pic makes me LOL. And I think Jettie is giving Hughes a run for his money in the shutterbug department. Tell my Godson he needs to step up his game, and tell my Goddaughter Good Job!
(10.13.09 @ 04:57 AM)Husband and wife welcoming the spring equinox sunrise atop Monks Mound at Cahokia Mounds w/ coffee, hot chocolate, a blanket, and love.
(10.13.09 @ 11:00 AM)Love these, your kiddos are adorable. I remember when I began shooting b/w film was my favorite.
(10.13.09 @ 03:26 PM)two people walking through the park...enjoying the beauty mother nature provides and company of each other...feeling the warmth of your partner as you walk hand in hand...love
(10.13.09 @ 11:00 PM)Aww I just want to steal your family and make them mine..sooo adorable and cute...Such awesomeness...
(10.14.09 @ 12:18 AM)Here's a romantic idea...Me. My man. The dog. 8 years together. I've told him when he proposes, I want to capture it on film. Cooking. Cuddling. Making Snowangels.
(10.14.09 @ 10:37 AM)Here's a romantic idea...Me. My man. The dog. 8 years together. I've told him when he proposes, I want to capture it on film. Cooking. Cuddling. Making Snowangels.

(10.14.09 @ 10:44 AM)Hello! I am in love with these photos! Simply put it is natural beauty captured at its best!
(10.14.09 @ 12:50 PM)My Kind of Romantic: Crisp quiet December morning at the break of dawn, our breaths visible against the air, noses red from the cold, playing in the freshly fallen snow with my fiance of 7 months Waiting to enjoy the sunrise, rays striking the snow reflecting its sparkling beauty, in his arms. (I know a tid bit more than 27words but I had to paint the picture :)
My idea…me, Tommy, our new puppy, decorating for Christmas, hanging stockings and ornaments, in our new home. Celebrating the blessings of our first year of marriage!
(10.14.09 @ 10:25 PM)Us. Playground. Swings. Merry go round. Slide. We spend hrs on swings talking, flirting, and just enjoying each other’s company. Just a couple of “big” kids.
(10.15.09 @ 02:47 PM)Me, the hubby, and our 4-legged kid.. bundled up, hiking at Pere Marquette. Taking in the fresh air and breathtaking views!
(10.15.09 @ 04:02 PM)All of your entries, so amazing. The cozy, celebrations of love, hot chocolate, cold noses...we have such beautiful lives, don't we?!!
So, the winner of the romancing photography, Megan H and the vision of fresh snow and seeing breath and love:)
(10.17.09 @ 08:36 AM)I am a bit tardy in my reply, but you are simply amazing and going to make someone very happy :-) I love the vintage Wonder Years feel!
(10.18.09 @ 06:21 PM)Oh how wonderful! Thank You Clary! I am so excited! :o)

(10.19.09 @ 02:59 PM)Wow, Clary-
(10.21.09 @ 05:32 PM)I LOVE the film shots- there is such a sense of purity and chance in them, and a feel of nostalgia for the non-digital age.
Keep it up- LOVE the Blackbird Fly camera- HOW COOL is THAT?!?!?
