It's story time here on the blog today. This one is about Travis and I but it's not filled with love at first sight or romance or sparkly fuzzy vision. It's humble and humorous with an edge of remorse...on my end.
Travis liked me in junior high. He told my best friend and she passed the information on to me because that is what you did back in the day. In dramatic 13 year old way I made the following statement,
"If I ever date Travis Pfeiffer, shoot me!"
because we are two total opposites. He is smart and confident and loud. I like to draw and played the dot game in algebra and I'm shy. See total opposites.
I was wrong about knowing anything about love and what makes two people work together. Opposites really are quite nice.
2 years later we kissed while "Free Falling" played over the radio. The date, February 7, 1997.
7 years later we married in the middle of winter with snow on the ground.
In true serendipitous fashion we celebrated these 14 years of dating and 7 years of marriage on the exact date same date 2.7. We celebrated the family that makes us who we are, the marriages that give us living examples of true love, and the friends that were there from the very beginning.

Thank you for letting me a part of such a wonderful story. You two have grown into not only such a wonderful couple, but a truely wonderful family. A family filled with love, loyalty, devotion and balance. I am so happy to have been a part of the first 14 years and am looking forward to the next 70 ;) Love you guys!
